Bunker Hill - Near Wardner, ID. Originally called Bunker Hill & Sullivan Mines. Founded by Noah S. Kellogg (Founder of Kellogg, ID) in 1885. Phil O'Rourke was a partner to Noah Kellogg. Jim Wardner (Founder of Wardner, ID and Wardner, BC) became a partner because he had claim to water that was needed to mine the Bunker Hill. 2/3 of the money mined from the Bunker Hill went to build Spokane, WA. The Bunker Hill Mine is the greatest Lead-Silver-Zinc Ore property in the world. |

Money from the Hercules Mine went to build the Paulsen, Hutton & Sherwood buildings in Spokane, WA and the Hutton Settlement in Spokane, WA, as well as, the Day building in Wallace, ID. Note: Burke Canyon, ID is about all but gone. One building remains in the canyon, most others washed away years ago. |
